Modular Photonics’ OMPlex retrofit technology enables existing legacy multi-mode (OM1-4, 50 and 62.5 micron) fibre to be operated like a single-mode fibre when using single-mode transceivers.
This retrofit technology avoids recabling and major building works when upgrading and future proofing legacy multi-mode networks in large concrete monoliths such as sports arenas and shopping malls.
